Hurricane Season is here

Atlantic hurricane season spans from June 1st to November 30th. This is the time of year when tropical storms and hurricanes form across the Atlantic, Caribbean, and Gulf of Mexico.

Experts are predicting a slower year than average due to El Niño, but ShelterBox still needs to be prepared. It only takes one hurricane making landfall to cause a disaster that needs our support.

WHERE WE’RE WORKING

Supporting communities in crisis

Right now, over 123 million people around the world have been made homeless by disaster and conflict. ShelterBox is working to change this.

By providing emergency shelter and tools for families robbed of their homes by disaster, we’re transforming despair into hope.

More than half are women and girls.

Support our work

ShelterBox is a global community with a shared purpose – no one without shelter after disaster. When homes are torn apart and lives destroyed, we’ll be there.

ShelterBox provides emergency shelter and aid essentials at times of disaster, conflict and climate crisis. Because shelter is the foundation for life. A foundation for survival, stability and dignity. Enabling people to take steps towards recovery.

About ShelterBox

ShelterBox exists to ensure no one is without shelter after disaster. We often work in places that others don’t, making sure that we reach families who need support to take the next step in resuming their livelihoods.

By providing emergency shelter and tools for families robbed of their homes by disaster, we’re transforming despair into hope.

From the Caribbean to Cameroon, all the way to the Philippines, ShelterBox has provided shelter to over 3 million people in around 100 countries. That’s about 300 people a day.

We won’t stop until we see a world where no family goes without shelter after disaster.
